Tasting Note: Intensity from start to finish! The color is a very dark garnet, with a vibrant blue-purple edge. Aromas of red and black fruit, barrel spices and delicate floral notes show first, with subtle background earthiness. On the palate, big lush fruit notes of cherry, blackberry, and boysenberry with notes of Graham cracker and tobacco. Tannins are soft and plush from beginning to end, allowing the fruit flavors to linger.
Accolades: Dark and dense in style, with warmed cocoa, steeped plum and blackberry fruit, toasted alder and tobacco notes. Big swath of loam rolls through at the end. Best from 2021 through 2030. 444 cases made.
