Tasting Note: Dark purple in colour, with a crimson vibrancy in the glass. Aromas of blackberry, Burgundy plum and cherry are framed by soft notes of toasted oak. Upon tasting, you discover a full-bodied wine with supple texture and delicate tannins, lively flavours of cassis, cherry, plum and a beautiful spice heightened by barrel aging.
Accolades: This generously oaky wine offers a plush, broad mouthfeel that cradles extra-ripe black cherry, dark chocolate and blackberry flavors and coats the palate. The wine is rich, almost thick, with cinnamon, vanilla and cocoa accents and hints of sweetness on the finish. It contains 10% Malbec and dashes of Petit Verdot and Merlot. — Jim Gordon
