Tasting Note: The 2018 vintage stands out as possibly the most balanced to date, thanks to the extended hang time on the vine and the exceptional ripeness of the fruit.
To enjoy it at its best, make sure to chill it until the lions change color – a sure sign you've reached the ideal serving temperature! Like its predecessors, this medium to full-bodied wine remains unfined, unfiltered, and crafted with native yeast. It gracefully weaves together coastal mineral salinity, lively acidity, and tropical nuances such as creamy Maui pineapple, guava, and melon. The finish is long-lasting and reminiscent of creme brulee.
Accolades: Rich and oak-driven, this impressive, over-the-top wine is aged in 90% new French and Hungarian oak. Buttery crème brulee and tropical pineapple, guava and an opulent texture give it a complex intensity that persists in baking spice and vanilla on the palate. — Virginie Boone.
