Tasting Note: It is an exuberant, rich wine with red cherries, oodles of black fruits, and coffee notes. Very reminiscent of the inaugural 2013 Audēre, this is sure to please even the biggest Sideways-loving, Merlot-hater...and yes, the rumors are true….this label glows-in-the dark! Turn off the lights and see for yourself.
Accolades: "The 2017 Signature Mountain Blend is composed of 49% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Malbec, 1% Petit Verdot, and 1% Cabernet Franc, coming from Howell Mountain, Pritchard Hill, and Atlas Peak. Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, it explodes from the glass with bombastic redcurrant jelly, black raspberries, mulberries, and baked plums scents with suggestions of camphor, cast-iron pan, cedar chest, pencil lead, and lavender plus a touch of underbrush. Medium to full-bodied, the palate packs in the red and black berry flavors, supported with soft, rounded tannins and oodles of freshness, finishing on a lingering mineral note. 150 cases were made." — Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Robert Parker Wine Advocate
