Tasting Note: This Tuscan refined blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese has layers of elegant yet bold notes of blackcurrant, red cherry and dried Italian herbs with just a touch of leather and sandalwood. Its long and harmonious finish is supported by firm and polished tannins. Try it with porcini-crusted veal loin with rosemary jus.
Accolades: Morello cherries and blackberries roll in dirt and wild herbs on the nose, and then stretch their legs on the palate over aromas of vanilla, dark chocolate and espresso. Lively acid and penetrative heat accents the earthy salinity that Il Borro uniquely expresses. Exuberant but sophisticated, worth holding on to until 2029 at least.
