Tasting Note: The smoothness of the merlot is allowed to shine in this single varietal expression. Starts with a bright ruby colour, followed by aromas of prune, chocolate and black plum reduction. The fruit flavours resonate on the palate, which is extra dry yet soft with a pleasing finish.
Accolades: Very ripe, with plum and blackberry notes framed by spicy oak. Rich and full-bodied, with a lively acidity and lingering finish. Not imported into the U.S. Drink now through 2006. 5,200 cases made.
